Kickstarting Climate Action: Just Transitions

Join high school students across Australia in the fourth installment of our webinar series for regional students. These webinars will empower you to lead a climate action group, organise events and pressure your local MP to protect our future from climate change. Equipped with knowledge and determination, we’ll change the course of climate action in Australia, one community at a time!

WHAT: We’ll be giving a crash course in community just transitions from non-renewable energy sources to renewable energy. When talking about climate action, you might have heard- but what about the jobs? In this webinar, we’ll talk about the innovative policies that would allow communities based around coal or gas industries to transition to renewable energy sources in a just way ensures no community is left behind.

WHO: All high school students who want to (or have) started a climate action group, particularly those in regional, remote and non capital cities. We want to continue to support the awesome groups you’ve established through this series!

***This event is for high school students ONLY - other young people please sign up here to be part of the youth climate movement:

WHEN:  July 3, at 7pm (Melbourne time)

WHERE: Online via Zoom video conference - register on the panel to the right and we’ll email you the code closer to the day!

Kickstarting Climate Action: A webinar series for high school students

The "Kickstarting Climate Action" webinar series is about supporting incredible high school students (like you!) across the country to lead powerful climate actions. Together, we'll make sure our politicians step up to be the climate leaders our generation urgently needs.

Over the course of the webinars, we’ll equip you with the tools, resources and support network necessary to make your local climate action groups a success.

We’ll help you lead impactful events that’ll  make climate change the number 1 issue in your community.

You’ll hear from students already creating change in their communities and learn how doing so can be fun, connection-building and empowering!

After each webinar, we'll send you through a load of resources and toolkits, and link you with our online network to keep you connected with the hundreds of other school students leading climate action.
