Latrobe Valley Climate Justice Summit
Join 100-150 high school students from across Gippsland at a two-day Latrobe Valley Climate Justice. Students will learn about climate science, climate impacts and how they can lead the transition to renewable energy in their school and community.
Tuesday 13th August and Wednesday 14th August 2019, 8.30am - 2.30pm both days.
Morning tea and lunch provided.
High school students in years 7-12 are invited, with places available for 15-20 students from each school to attend.
Climate change impacts are being felt right now - from floods, storms, bushfires and heatwaves, impacting regional and remote communities first and worst. But young people have the solutions, and are already leading the switch to clean energy powered by the wind and sun.
Come along to the Latrobe Valley Climate Justice Summit to hear from inspiring speakers on the front line of climate change, meet other young change makers and build skills to run campaigns for climate action and sustainability.
